If you are logged on to your home broadband and your connection is slow, rebooting your router can often resolve this.


  1. Firstly, shut down your laptop/tablet - click on the Windows icon in the bottom left hand corner > click on the Power icon > select Shut Down
  2. Locate your broadband router 
  3. Disconnect from power supply for 10 minutes 
  4. Reconnect to power supply and turn router back on 
  5. Wait for the router to reboot, which can take a few minutes. During this time there may be a series of flashing lights whilst the router resets
  6. Once it has fully rebooted it is ready for use
  7. Turn your laptop/tablet back on
